1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("you", "your") and Link Centre ("Link Centre", "we", "us", "our") and govern your use of the Link Centre service, including our website, dashboard, public profile pages, and related apps and features (together, the "Service").
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
2. The Service
Link Centre is a digital business card platform that lets you create and share an online profile containing your contact details, social and website links, and other personal or organisational information. The Service includes:
- A hosted public profile page accessible by URL;
- A unique QR code that links to your profile;
- The ability to issue Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes for your profile;
- Analytics about how your profile is performing;
- Organisation features for shared profiles, where applicable to your plan.
We are continually improving the Service. We may add, change, or remove features at any time. Where a change has a material adverse effect on you, we will give you reasonable notice before it takes effect.
3. Your account
To use most features of the Service, you need to create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering;
- Keep your account information up to date;
- Be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction if higher;
- Keep your login credentials confidential and not share them with anyone;
- Notify us promptly at support@link-centre.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account. We may suspend or close accounts that we reasonably believe are being used in breach of these Terms.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Break any applicable law or regulation;
- Impersonate another person or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone;
- Post, link to, or distribute content that is unlawful, defamatory, threatening, harassing, hateful, obscene, or otherwise objectionable;
- Infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any person;
- Send spam, phishing attempts, or unsolicited commercial messages;
- Distribute malware, viruses, or any code intended to disrupt the Service or other systems;
- Scrape, copy, or systematically extract data from the Service without our written permission;
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other users' accounts, or any systems connected to it;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service, except to the extent permitted by law;
- Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercially exploit the Service in a way that is not expressly permitted by your subscription.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that breach this section, with or without notice depending on the severity of the breach.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of all content you upload, create, or display through the Service ("Your Content"), including profile information, photos, biographies, and links.
By submitting Your Content to the Service, you grant Link Centre a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, transmit, display, and process Your Content solely for the purposes of operating, providing, and improving the Service. This licence ends when you delete Your Content or close your account, except where reasonably retained in backups or as required by law.
You confirm that you have all the rights necessary to grant this licence and that Your Content does not breach these Terms or any applicable law. You are solely responsible for Your Content and for ensuring it is accurate and lawful.
6. Subscriptions and billing
Some features of the Service require a paid subscription. Current pricing is published on our pricing page. By subscribing, you agree to pay the applicable fees for the plan and billing period you select.
- Renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) at the then-current rate, unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- Cancellation: you can cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will keep access to paid features until then.
- Refunds: except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. We may offer refunds at our discretion.
- Price changes: we may change our prices on reasonable notice. Price changes take effect at the start of your next billing period after the notice.
- Taxes: prices are quoted exclusive of VAT or other applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase.
- Payment processing: payments are processed by Stripe. By submitting your payment details, you agree to Stripe's terms and privacy policy.
7. Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your dashboard. Deleting your account will trigger removal of your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if:
- You materially breach these Terms;
- We are required to do so by law or by a competent authority;
- Your use of the Service creates a security, legal, or financial risk for us or other users;
- Your account has been inactive for an extended period;
- We discontinue the Service or part of it (with reasonable notice where possible).
Sections of these Terms that, by their nature, are intended to survive termination — including sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law — will continue to apply after termination.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, logos, and original content (other than Your Content), is owned by Link Centre or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
Except as expressly permitted by these Terms or by applicable law, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, except as required by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components, or that any information or content available through the Service is accurate, complete, or reliable.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.
10. Limitation of liability
Subject to the previous section, to the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Our total liability to you in connection with the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in that period, or (b) £100;
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, data, or anticipated savings, even if foreseeable;
- We are not liable for any failure to perform our obligations caused by events outside our reasonable control (force majeure).
If you are a consumer, you may have rights under English law that are not affected by these Terms.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Link Centre, its officers, employees, and contractors from any claims, losses, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:
- Your use of the Service in breach of these Terms;
- Your Content, including any claim that it infringes someone else's rights;
- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter (including non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
You and Link Centre agree that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or claim, except that if you are a consumer resident in another part of the United Kingdom, you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when the latest version came into effect. For material changes, we will give you reasonable notice — by email or through the Service — before the changes take effect. By continuing to use the Service after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you should stop using the Service and may close your account.
